The reason we didn’t have any success on Zoosk.com is directly related to this being a free dating site. As they say, you get what you pay for. Or, in this case, you get what you don’t pay for.

Zoosk is definitely not a scam. Match is a pathetic site-didn't get 1 date there. Farmers Only requires both people to have full memberships to participate. Zoosk is just wonderful - made many good friends there. The pics are good and Carousel is a great idea. Choose the winner, Zoosk! There are very few hot-looking women on Zoosk. The ones that look more or less ok are usually sockpuppet accounts with fake photos. It looks like Zoosk has no scam protection at all. They don't want to ferret out scammers, I guess these scammers contribute greatly to Zoosk profit. And profit is the only thing that Zoosk owners think about. I had to file a complaint with the NYS Attorney general office to get my money back. Zoosk has fake views from profiles that don't show up on the searches or who's online. Women get to hide their photos yest still view you, No guy wants to see a bunch of blue boxes that say 'Ask this user for a photo', and you can't ask them.

What you don’t pay for on this Zoosk.com is a garbage dating site. We didn’t rank it in our Top 5 because it didn’t deserve to be. Not only did we fail to meet women on Zoosk.com, the site was annoying. Too high of a male to female ratio and the advertisements were just plain irritating.

By now, you can probably guess we didn’t meet anyone on Zoosk.com. That much is obvious. We gave it a shot despite hating the site. When we started reviewing these dating sites, we promised ourselves we would give each site a full 12-week review and that we would send out 5 emails per day on each site. When we sent each email on Zoosk.com, we knew it was unlikely to receive a response to. Of the 450 emails sent, only 40 were ever responded to. YIKES! That’s less than 1 out of 11 for all of you Math majors. Perhaps something good did come of our Zoosk.com membership. If it means we prevented you from wasting your time on this site, at least we did our job.

Zoosk.com Pitfalls: What We Hated About Zoosk.com

Not having to pay for this site was what we hated most. It’s not that we like spending money. But we know you can’t truly find someone decent without paying a few bucks to meet them. Online dating is something you should invest a little money in. The free dating sites are enticing because they’re free, but all you really do is waste your time.

Zoosk.com caters way too much towards the 18-21 crowd. For those above age 21, you’ll find the site very immature. The quality of women is low. Trashy women that are just looking to get laid…if they’re looking for anything at all. That’s our other problem with Zoosk.com. Since the site is free, you’ll come across women that sign-up with no real intention to meet someone. Sometimes they just want to see what’s out there and nothing more. If you have plenty of time to kill, sure, go ahead and waste it away on Zoosk.com. Of course, you could be doing something far more productive such as signing up for Match.com. On Match.com, you will have to pay to meet someone. But that’s a good thing, for the reasons stated above. You might be asking yourself why we’re so harsh towards Zoosk.com. After all, millions of people sign-up for it, so they must like it. Actually, that’s not entirely true. Many do sign-up but only a small portion stick around long enough to meet someone.

The last option seems to work poorly as I’ve tried my active personal email, and the system kept telling me that the registration is not possible at the moment.

The password should be at least 8 characters, and you should think of a nickname to put in. Some countries might need to use a VPN to register or log in.

Once you click “Sign Up” on the main page, it will transfer you to begin the more detailed form to add information. You need to provide your location, although you cannot choose any other location than your area at the moment of registration.

Then you add your body type, education, ethnicity, height, smoking habits, and parenthood.

Zoosk will also ask you about your material status, religion, work industry, annual income. All the information is provided voluntarily. If you don’t feel like filling any info in, you can simply skip and come back to that later.

Profile

If the user filled in even half of the information, we would consider the profile quite detailed. The profile pic that you choose will be visible to any user regarding their free or paid subscription. All the provided information makes it easier for the user on the other side to understand if the person is suitable for them.

Each member can also write a story that will be shown together with their profile picture.

Searching

Zoosk puts in effort into two main searching engines. One is called “Carousel.” The matchmaking algorithm presents users in roulette, and you can send flirts to the account you like and skip if you don’t like the person. The feature is amazing, although it allows you to identify the likability only by one profile photo.

The second is “SmartPick.” This “Behavioral Matchmaking” algorithm is the one that is using all the sign-up information to get you the best matches within all users near you. The more details you provide the closest matches will be.

Chat

All free accounts can send hearts and flirts. They also can participate in conversations with paid subscribers but only if last is paying an additional $10 to turn on this function. If you are a free member and sending messages to another free member, flirts and hearts are the only way you can communicate.

Mobile

There are free iOS, Android, and Amazon apps available to use for mobile devices. The “Dating Insights” unique feature is not available for the best hook up apps. The features collect all your activity to personalize more the future matches according to your previous actions with other users.
